About Liger Leadership Academy - Independent High School in Queenstown, New Zealand

Liger Leadership Academy’s mission is to educate promising youth of today to develop socially conscious, entrepreneurial leaders of tomorrow. Liger Leadership Academy is more than just a school. In addition to our Essentials courses which cover core curriculum, we offer Explorations, which are hands-on, project-based learning experiences. We focus on learning experiences that are based in the real world and connected to challenges faced by our local and national community. Liger’s innovative model has enabled our young leaders to excel beyond traditional subjects. We're committed to reimagining education for the 21st century, by academics with real-world problem solving, leadership and entrepreneurship.

Liger’s successful pilot Academy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, laid the foundation for Liger’s introduction to Queenstown, New Zealand, opening its doors as a full day school in 2022. In Queenstown, our aim is to contribute to New Zealand’s future by creating well-rounded, innovative, entrepreneurial, and empathetic graduates who have the ability, passion, and commitment to improve not only their own lives but the lives of others in their community, and country. We currently serve learners in Year 8, 9 and 10 and will add a new year level annually until we are a full Secondary school.
