About Liger Leadership Academy - Independent High School in Queenstown, New Zealand

Liger Leadership Academy’s mission is to educate promising youth of today to develop socially conscious, entrepreneurial leaders of tomorrow. To achieve this we create a positive, value driven environment that believes in the potential of all our learners. Our civically minded educational approach is evident throughout our innovative curriculum structure. Our Essential courses cover the NZ curriculum in Maths, Science, English and Health, our Exploration courses are for-impact project-based learning experiences and our Expertise sessions directly connect our learners with industry experts. We're committed to reimagining education for the 21st century by designing learning that is based in the real world and connected to issues faced by our local and national communities.

Liger’s successful pilot Academy in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, laid the foundation for Liger’s introduction to Queenstown, New Zealand, opening its doors as a full day school in 2022. In Queenstown, our aim is to contribute to New Zealand’s future by creating well-rounded, innovative, entrepreneurial, and empathetic graduates who have the ability, passion, and commitment to improve not only their own lives but the lives of others in their community, and country. We currently serve learners in Years 9, 10 and 11 and will add a new Year level annually until we are a full High School in 2026
